Yesterday, James Regan was at the Future of Computing Conference in London where he participated in panel discussion on The Future of Supercomputing. Later in the afternoon, James also had the opportunity to share the Oriole Networks thinking on how to unleash the power of AI without burning down the planet. Joost Verberk, Yannick Lize and Paul Wallace are in San Jose this week for NVIDIA GTC 2025. The week-long event draws many, many thousands of developers, researchers, and industry professionals to get the latest insights and developments on AI. A key highlight of the event is the keynote speech by CEO Jensen Huang which took place on Tuesday, March 18 at the SAP Center where Huang highlighted the importance of energy- and performance-efficiency and the role photonics will play.

Yesterday afternoon and evening I was again visiting Oxford for a very enjoyable meeting advising a young creative founder of a social enterprise. I also attended "Climake it Happen" organised by: Oxbridge-Alx, OSFSS, Oxford Founders Society, Oxford Entrepreneurs, Oxford Seed Fund & ZERO Founders Network - University of Oxford This was another panel session, but this time with three very different founders who are passionate about #sustainability. They are: James Regan founder of Oriole Networks, Sushma Shankar founder of @Deep Planet and Pinar Akiskalioglu founder of @TAKK. You can see in the three photos on the faces of each founder their passion about their businesses. Their passion and commitment came across during the panel discussions, along with the many challenges that each person had encountered. The other vital take away from the discussions and questions was the importance of getting and working with the right people. "People, people, people!"

Oriole Networks will be in San Francisco, CA from March 30 – April 3 for the OFC Conference. This is the 50th edition of one of the biggest events in the industry. Oriole Networks CEO, James Regan, is in Paris today attending Visionaries Unplugged: Dare to Ignite. This private event, hosted by the Visionaries Club is being held at the historic?American?Cathedral where the speakers are some of today’s biggest names in AI including Eric Schmidt, Demis Hassabis, Reid Hoffman, Dario Amodei and Taavet Hinrikus co-founder of Wise and partner at Plural who were the lead investors in Oriole Networks’ recent A-Series.
