We are delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Walton as the new Managing Director of Origin Amenity Solutions (OAS). OAS, a leading provider of innovative products and services for turf management across the sports and amenity sectors, is now part of the newly formed Living Landscapes division within Origin Enterprises PLC. The creation of Origin Living Landscapes reinforces our commitment to the sports, landscape, and environmental markets, addressing the increasing demand for sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions. Richard brings over 27 years of commercial leadership experience within the amenity and landscaping industry. Prior to joining Origin he held senior positions at Scotts Professional, Everris, and ICL. Demonstrating a proven track record of driving business growth, strategy development, and acquisitions. Since joining Origin in July 2023 as Commercial Officer for the Sports and Landscapes sectors, Richard has played a key role in identifying strategic opportunities and implementing initiatives that have delivered measurable value. As Managing Director, he will lead OAS in shaping and executing its strategic vision for the future. This transition comes as part of a broader restructuring within Origin’s Amenity division, which now comprises eight individual businesses. Chris Clark, who previously held the role of MD at OAS, will continue to lead the Amenity division. The division has been organised into two key sub-divisions: Sports and Landscapes, with Clive Whinnett appointed as Managing Director of the Sports division. This refined structure will further strengthen our focus on establishing Origin Living Landscapes as the leading solutions provider for the sports, landscape, and environmental sectors. Chris Clark commented: “Richard’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Origin Amenity Solutions. His deep industry expertise, passion for innovation, and strong leadership make him the ideal person to drive the next phase of growth.
