The Transplant Unit of the Specialties Hospital of the National Medical Center (CMN) Siglo XXI in Mexico recently utilized LifePort Kidney Transporter, enabling four patients with kidney failure to have a second chance at life. Last month, the Hospital had responded to a call for two organ donations. To manage these back-to-back cases, they utilized LifePort Kidney Transporter for the first time. “The problem was the ischemia time of the first two kidneys,” said General Director of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, “Using LKT allowed us to maintain organ health and extend the window of viability.” La Unidad de Trasplantes del Hospital de Especialidades del Centro Médico Nacional (CMN) Siglo XXI en México utilizó recientemente el transportador de ri?ones LifePort, lo que permitió a cuatro pacientes con insuficiencia renal tener una segunda oportunidad de vida. El mes pasado, el hospital respondió a una llamada para dos donaciones de órganos.
