The Oregon Youth Authority is hiring a Risk and Litigation Administrative Specialist (Administrative Specialist 2) to join our Public Policy and Government Relations Team! In this hybrid optional position, you’ll play a pivotal part in supporting the agency’s torts, litigation and records management processes. Your expertise will be crucial in tracking lawsuits, subpoenas, court orders, and youth records requests, while ensuring accurate records production and redactions. Working both independently and collaboratively, you’ll help uphold OYA’s integrity by interpreting complex legal scenarios, producing records for discovery, and providing key support for public policy initiatives. We’re looking for a detail-oriented team player with strong analytical skills and a passion for maintaining organizational excellence. Youth at MacLaren YCF participated in a career fair last week where each unit had the opportunity to talk with representatives from different industries including folks who have been previously justice-involved. As one formerly justice-involved individual said about his current success, “I want to let them know, there are other ways to go. You have choices.” Youth had the opportunity to learn about a variety of industries and job training programs from our partners. Read more about those opportunities in our Inside OYA blog post.
