CEP’s Policy & Advocacy Manager, Greer Klepacki, visited the state capital this week to help workshop the Building Resilience Coalition's suite of legislative concepts and explore how members of the Coalition can work together to support other work. Elections are a single day of action. Voting can be a step, but it is not the entire journey. This is a time of political change, but we are a movement built on collective care and the power behind local and state wins. This gives us strength. As civil rights activist Kwame Ture said, “Politics is every day.” We hold the vision for a just future. We build the new. For our communities and the land we occupy, we pledge to continue our fight for racial, economic, and climate justice. To shift the climate focus to frontline communities. To honor the diversity of our experiences. We took time to grieve and hold our communities and one another close. Now we face the challenges this election brings. We will speak up against hateful rhetoric. Against legislation that dehumanizes us. We will continue to nurture deep community, not just for work, but for collective resilience. We will not back down.
