关于我们
The Oregon International Port of Coos Bay is the public port district for Oregon's Coos Bay area. Established in 1912, the port serves as a facilitator to the harbor’s maritime industry and as an economic development and transportation advocacy organization. The port also owns and operates the Charleston Marina, the Charleston Marina RV Park and the Charleston Shipyard. As part of the Coos Bay area, Charleston is the gateway to popular Oregon State Parks, ocean beaches and the majestic and rugged North Pacific coastline. Coos Bay is the largest deep-draft coastal harbor between San Francisco Bay and Puget Sound. It has an experienced maritime labor force, a wide range of maritime services and a short 15-mile navigation channel. In support of industry and maritime commerce, the port owns the 134-mile Coos Bay rail line connecting the deep-draft Coos Bay harbor and regional manufacturers to the North American Class 1 freight rail system. These factors assure that inbound and outbound cargoes move efficiently through Coos Bay’s marine terminals to both domestic and international markets.

This week, the Port of Coos Bay was awarded a $29 million federal CRISI grant to invest in vital upgrades to the Coos Bay Rail Line. This funding will drive enhancements in safety, efficiency, and sustainability, helping us build a robust ship-to-rail connection that directly supports businesses across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Following last week's $25 million INFRA grant, these dual federal investments of $54 million represent an unprecedented downpayment in the future of Oregon's South Coast. The Pacific Coast Intermodal Port project will create local jobs, improve supply chain reliability and bolster economic growth while preserving the state's commitment to environmental responsibility. We recently sat down with KLCC's Oregon On The Record to discuss some of the exciting happenings at the Port of Coos Bay. We discussed the Pacific Coast Intermodal Port Project (PCIP) and our new "captains on deck". Tune in to hear more about the vision ahead! "Once completed The PCIP will be the first fully electrified ship-to-rail port facility on the U.S. West Coast allowing for a massive uptick in the movement of containers and agriculture products through the Port of Coos Bay. Lanelle Comstock is the new CEO of the port, the first woman to ever ascend to that position, and Melissa Cribbins, the Executive Director of the PCIP.
