Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC)

Starting March 31 and over the course of several weeks, the HECC will present on the comprehensive funding needs for Oregon’s postsecondary education and workforce system to the Oregon Legislature's Joint Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Education. The HECC’s presentations are to inform the development of the final 2025-2027 Legislatively Approved Budget. In addition to presentations, there are opportunities for public testimony on the HECC budget (Senate Bill 5525). Students, faculty, staff,?administrators, workforce partners, training providers, and members of the public are welcome to provide public testimony. You can provide testimony in writing, remotely, or in-person at the Oregon State Capitol. This program provides grant funding to reduce the risk wildfires pose to communities and critical infrastructure, create?fire-adapted communities, and engage youth and young adults in workforce training.
