Yesterday, OHCA staff and members traveled down to the Oregon State Capitol to support long term care community members and staff testifying in opposition to House Bill 3838. We would like to thank our members for supporting OHCA's legislative efforts and advocating for the rights of seniors across the state. OHCA News: New Nurse Residency Program LAUNCHED! OHCA is launching this program to support new nurses in Oregon long term care facilities. This program is intended to foster mentorship and collaboration, improve retention, promote competence, and enhance resident safety. OHCA invites all interested Oregon long term care facilities (licensed assisted living, residential care, or nursing facilities) and their newly hired RN “nurse residents” to participate in this program.
