The ADA has entered a collaboration with the Academy for Private Dental Practice (APDP), designed to enhance resources and tools to members. As the Association supports dentists in all modalities of practice, working with the APDP is a step forward in helping everyone in our profession thrive. Here's an update from ADA President Dr. Brett Kessler.
The ODA is thankful for this opportunity to support student, resident, and faculty research. Every year we see more posters. It was a great day and it is exciting to see how much research is being done at the OHSU School of Dentistry.
Joint implant issues, effects of oral care interventions on dementia, treating patients with high blood pressure and how orthodontists are navigating the Oregon Health Plan were some of the 84 posters on display at the?School of Dentistry Research Day?this past Tuesday. The morning began with rows of posters on display taped to makeshift stands in the Oregon Health & Science University Robertson Life Sciences Building atrium. As Oregon Health & Science University members and guests sipped coffee or nibbled on bagels, they listened as students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty and staff highlighted their projects. Of the posters, 24 were critically appraised topics, or caseCATs, from OHSU School of Dentistry D.M.D. students and 14 represented research posters from other students. The remaining exhibits comprised findings from employees. OHSU School of Dentistry is proud of our student researchers and Oregon Health & Science University's renowned faculty and staff researchers.
