    The California Restaurant Association established its Los Angeles Fires 2025 Relief Grant through, Restaurants Care on Jan. 14. With an initial commitment of $100,00, this initiative provides grants of up to $1,500 per recipient to help individuals in the restaurant industry displaced from their homes or jobs to meet urgent needs. Eligibility requirements: Be a California resident working in California Be currently employed by a restaurant or food service operation during the time of the fire Have worked in the food industry for a minimum of 6 months Have proof of a financial hardship due to: permanent loss of housing, temporary loss of housing, restaurant burned down or restaurant is temporarily closed. Items to have ready (cell phone pictures accepted if clear): a picture of your paystub proof of residency (utility bill, mortgage, etc.) proof of hardship (insurance claim, notice from employer, police report, etc.)

    Day 10 of #12DaysOfOrdersco brings with it one of our most impactful features to date, Dispute Management! The rise of e-commerce has led to many consumer trends. One less talked about is "friendly fraud." Consumers order goods and services online only to dispute the charges after delivery. Current industry stats report about 3% of all restaurant transactions result in a chargeback. This may not seem significant, but we've witnessed restaurants that lose thousands a month to fraudulent chargebacks.     Day 9 of #12DaysOfOrdersco is here to spread some restaurant review cheer! It's fairly obvious how important restaurant reviews are and no business wants to be on Santa's naughty list. But with the sheer number of business listing and review platforms, managing a healthy reputation is a full-time job. During our ordering website overhaul, we added various review functionality and saw an opportunity to help restaurants manage incoming reviews. First, all Orders.co ordering websites have overall store ratings and in-item specific ratings. Allowing for an additional review platform directly attached to your ordering suite. In-item reviews promote popular items and guide new customers to dishes that they will enjoy. Increasing the likelihood of repeat business. Second, any time a negative review is posted, an email notification is sent immediately to the operator. Providing an opportunity to swiftly resolve the negative experience before it does more harm. Finally, customers who leave excellent reviews are requested to share their experience on other major review platforms. Boosting overall reputation and discoverability one positive review at a time.     Day 8 of #12DaysOfOrdersco brings with it a more recent and popular promotional tool, SMS & Email Marketing! Text and email marketing have been common practices for years, particularly with online retailers. But recently, more restaurants have implemented them alongside loyalty programs, with fantastic results. While researching currently available solutions, we noticed many offered quite a lot of customization, which led to increased pricing. Restaurants could adjust message text and frequency and even schedule special promotions whenever they wanted. Though this user flexibility is nice, it would be underutilized by many and force a price point that could alienate smaller businesses. Thus, we elected to offer multiple SMS & Email marketing tiers, available to any plan. The highest tiers would maintain the same level of customization seen in the market, but the standard packages would function with templated messaging (based on promotion type) and behavioral learning AI to dictate frequency (based on customer ordering habits). This automation allowed us to offer an effective and affordable marketing tool, still customizable for those who need it. Most exciting of all, it allows restaurants to build direct relationships with app-based customers, to whom convenience is paramount. This concludes our SMS and email feature review.     Day 7 of #12DaysOfOrdersco is upon us! The next feature in our promotional tool lineup is Loyalty! New loyalty programs and revamps have been popping up everywhere in the restaurant and retail industries. And for good reason: they work! Industry stats show that the vast majority of customers sign up, feel they get more value, and spend more. Most loyalty services were stand-alone solutions or add-ons (sometimes costing as much as the website itself), so we decided to make ours a "one size fits most" that comes included with every Orders.co ordering website. Our goal was a simple but powerful loyalty system that could be set up in minutes and operated without any continual effort. Ultimately, a point-earned per dollar-spent system proved best, with additional options for bonus points during signup. Restaurant operators can tailor their points earned rate and the point redemption rate to customize the value offered. The most interesting part is that loyalty didn't launch alone; it was part of a larger ordering website overhaul. Which updated UI elements, added coupon code generation, and delivery dispatch services. These updates allowed restaurants to offer their customers the same level of convenience found on delivery apps, but with additional value and the benefit of directly supporting a local business.
