A message from our ECD in celebration of #NationalComingOutDay: “Looking back on my journey out of the closet, being my fully realized self in a professional context used to be very intimidating. When I was beginning my career I considered how much of myself I would disclose. Would my being queer keep certain opportunities out of reach? Would I feel isolated or alienated from my colleagues? These were very real concerns and very strong feelings for me to navigate as a junior creative. I was fortunate to come into a supportive environment and I found the right mentors to get to where I am today - as the unapologetically queer Executive Creative Director at Orci. I hope that being this visible as a leader for the agency can help the next generation of advertising professionals, who might be navigating some of the same feelings I once did, feel more confident in their journey. So, whatever context you find yourself in, on the job or at home, whether you’re out and proud or not ready to step out quite yet—on behalf of Orci, I want to remind you that you’re seen, you’re valid and you are loved. Today is an important day to acknowledge, but supporting the LGBTQ+ community and empowering marginalized voices is something we at Orci commit to year-round. We have some exciting new partnerships and mentorship opportunities coming up in support of the community. So stay tuned, keep it queer, and Happy National Coming Out Day!”

?? Today marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month! ?? This is a special time to celebrate the incredible contributions of the Hispanic and Latino community. As a proud Dominican, I find this month to hold deep meaning as we honor our community's rich cultures and achievements. I want to highlight Héctor Orci and Norma Orci, the visionary founders of Orci, one of the first Hispanic-focused advertising agencies in the U.S. Norma, who co-founded the agency alongside Héctor, made significant contributions to the industry and was a driving force behind their shared success. Héctor and Norma’s work has had a lasting impact on how brands connect with Hispanic audiences. Norma’s legacy continues to inspire many, and Héctor’s ongoing efforts with the Culture Marketing Council (CMC) and his recognition as one of the “100 Influentials” by Hispanic Business Magazine reflect their enduring influence. Representation matters deeply. When our voices and cultures are authentically reflected, it fosters stronger connections and a greater sense of belonging. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, let’s honor the trailblazing work of Héctor and the memory of Norma Orci, and continue pushing for a more diverse and inclusive future. Hispanic Heritage Month – we’ve all got mixed feelings about it, right? Because as multicultural marketers, we engage with the Latine community year-round, not just 30 days out of the year. So this year, we took the time to reflect on our history and relationship with the USH market. ? We’ve done a lot over the years, but these are just a few of our favorite moments in the agency’s history. From inviting USH families to experience the magic of Disneyland, to our Smithsonian-recognized work with the INS, to building playgrounds with Pepsi and highlighting Latine excellence with Acura, we’ve continued to embrace and uplift the diversity and nuances of the multicultural world we live in.
