Awe struck! ?? the celebration of women leading the charge! It takes a village and the collaboration of the giving circles is inspiring! Happy International Women’s Day!!
It's #InternationalWomensDay day y'all. Last night's beautifully curated event at ISP Studios hosted by Margie Aguilar and her team was what my heart and soul needed. The panel hosted by Kim Cummings, SPHR, SCP, CDE? brought the house down with so much knowledge and a call for collaboration. We've got each other -- and importantly, allies and siblings in the movement to help get us through. Hope is a verb. It's the antidote. Accelerating Action only happens in community. Thank you to my circle of community #changemakers, especially Sapna Punjabi, RDN, LD and all our Giving Circle power house women. Y'all are fierce, full of heart and unrelenting power. #orchidgivingcircle #DFW #philanthropy -- now housed within Communities Foundation of Texas Please catch this clip from Wayne White on the history of the Communities Foundation of Texas, and how Ms. Pearl C. Anderson's charitable fund still lives on today: "When Communities Foundation of Texas began in 1953, it was known as the Dallas Community Chest Trust Fund. The first six-figure, major gift to the Dallas Community Chest Trust Fund was in 1955 from Pearl C.?Anderson. Pearl was an African-American entrepreneur who opened a grocery store in a part of town that didn’t have access to a grocery store." https://lnkd.in/ggbbJ3w7

??Celebrate International Women’s Day with us!?? We’re bringing together a powerful coalition of women leaders for an unforgettable evening of unity and bold conversations. Our event, curated by ISP Creative includes a PSA campaign launch, showcasing the impact of women in philanthropy, leadership, and community transformation. The panel features trailblazing women from DFW Hispanic 100 (H100 Giving Circle), Orchid Giving Circle, The Village Giving Circle and HERitage Giving Fund discussing how to break barriers and drive collective action for lasting change.
