Orbia has invested over $40 million since 2020 in emerging climate technologies and startups through its venture arm.?

A product life cycle assessment at Orbia’s Connectivity Solutions business (Dura-Line), found that its MicroDucts and FuturePath? ECO products, which incorporate reworked materials from the internal manufacturing process, provide a 44% reduction in carbon footprints compared with the equivalent standard products. The small-diameter products are designed to provide a pathway for fiber-optic cables, saving space. Orbia has conducted life cycle assessments across many products in its portfolio to better understand the environmental impact and inform more eco-friendly design. What do IV bags, artificial leather and pipes have in common? They are all made of PVC and are being recycled by Orbia’s Polymer Solutions business through its Vinyl in Motion circularity program.
