Alongside the Orange County Business Council and Pooja Bhalla, DNP of Illumination Foundation in Sacramento this week, our CEO, Chris Simonsen is advocating for the critical needs of young people in Orange County. Together, they’re working to shape policies that impact workforce development, infrastructure, housing, and other key issues that affect the business community in the nation’s sixth most populous county. Their efforts are driving meaningful change and paving the way for a brighter future!
关于我们
Orangewood Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1981. Our mission is to prepare foster and community youth to reach their greatest potential. Our programs focus on the areas of basic needs, housing, life skills & employment, and education. Support for our programs is based on our successful outcomes due to our extensive understanding of the needs of our clients and effective partnerships with public and private organizations. In our history we have helped over 90,000 youth. Beyond our programs, for thousands in our community Orangewood means “family,” “opportunity” and “hope.”

LOVED leading a LinkedIn session for this bright and passionate team, who support foster youth in building the lives they envision. Make sure you're connected with their collective work here ?? Orangewood Foundation Remember: LinkedIn's a powerful tool to raise awareness & support for your nonprofit, but it's a tool for personal self-actualization too. Because when you step into the limelight (even when it feels weird), it shines a light on the things you really care about. You grow your personal change making capacity.?You build genuine community ready to roll up their sleeves and help you make shift happen. And over time, more doors naturally open - for you and for the mission you serve. ??

?? Check out our Director of Support Services, Tami Di Paolo's eye-opening video for her Doctor of Social Work program, focusing on adult homelessness, especially for those aging out of foster care. Orange County may be known for its wealth, but not everyone’s story looks the same. In honor of Women's History Month, we want to highlight Tami’s dedication to highlighting this important issue. Watch her video below to learn more about homelessness in our community and the impact we can make as a community to be part of the solution. #WomensHistoryMonth
