Last week was MiTek's annual Hearts & Hands Week, our global volunteer initiative where team members give back to their communities. I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Orangewood Foundation, our local community partner in Mission Viejo. We assembled hygiene kits to support our local foster youth using donations from our recent drive. Additionally, we helped organize the foundation's pantry, kitchen, and wardrobe closet. I'm truly grateful to be part of an organization that values giving back and positively impacts our community. Volunteering together has been a fantastic opportunity to connect with my colleagues while making a difference. #HHW2024
关于我们
Orangewood Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1981. Our mission is to prepare foster and community youth to reach their greatest potential. Our programs focus on the areas of basic needs, housing, life skills & employment, and education. Support for our programs is based on our successful outcomes due to our extensive understanding of the needs of our clients and effective partnerships with public and private organizations. In our history we have helped over 90,000 youth. Beyond our programs, for thousands in our community Orangewood means “family,” “opportunity” and “hope.”

We partnered up with Wells Fargo and Macy's to provide a one-of-a-kind event for our young adults to unleash their style, interview skills, and master the art of budgeting! A generous joint contribution from Wells Fargo and Macy's enabled each young adult to walk away with $500 of updated pieces to their wardrobes, along with a professional headshot. Thank you to all of the volunteers and stylists who made this event a success! Youth lunch donated by: Mendocino Farms ?? : Matthew Morgan #BankOfDoing #MacysMissionEveryOne

Donor Relations Manager @ Orangewood Foundation | making meaningful and positive changes for youth in Orange County.
Wanted to give a huge thank you to Priscilla Do, CFP?, Elizabet Gomez, and Bank of America's Better Money Habits OC for stepping up to support Orangewood Foundation at last week's Independent City event! Priscilla and Liz came out to help teach youth transitioning out of foster care or formerly in foster care financial literacy about how credit works in such a fun and interactive way, and we are so thankful they are a valuable part of our community.

Thank you to our incredible staff and partners for organizing a wonderful Independent City event dedicated to the youth we serve. This interactive experience allowed youth transitioning out of foster care or formerly in foster care to learn essential life skills in a fun, hands-on way. Learning about financial literacy resources, career options, educational resources, budgeting, health education, and more. Youth left empowered with the information and tools they'll need to navigate adulthood.
