Another thrilling night at the Champ with four goals and a 96th-minute equalizer in our first-ever match against Lexington, keeping Orange County SC unbeaten this season.?? Our first Beer Fest of the year was a sellout, with a loud and lively crowd cheering the boys on as they rocked their new Back to Blue kit ??, featuring LIUNA as our back-of-shirt partner and Hoag Health System and Northgate Market on the front and sleeves. It was also City of Irvine night, and we were honored to have Vice Mayor James Mai and council members Melinda Liu and William Go in attendance to receive a giant check from Gnarly for community sports projects in Irvine. Thanks to FOODBEAST, we sold over 100 Dirty Gnarlys and sold out of our famous Spicy Wings. ??? On his debut, Mo War was our Pizza 120 Man of the Match, capping off a stellar performance with his first goal — a 96th-minute equalizer that keeps us unbeaten. Talk about a warrior spirit! ?? A fantastic night all around, with the Michelob Ultra Goal Zone packed, big groups from Irvine AYSO, and an incredible atmosphere at the game.??? What a great start to the season at The Champ with a sellout and a 4 - 2 victory over Oakland Roots in our season opener. It was great to celebrate Hoag Health System night with over?1,000 staff from our front-of-shirt partner in attendance. Plus, the energy from all the young fans banging their support for the team was unreal! The rebranded grandstand was resplendent and great to feel the energy and hear the noise coming from the Michelob Ultra section. Our broadcast partner CBS KCAL News went above and beyond, even sending their executive producer of sports Armen Keuilian to come and sing the anthem. Fun fact: we're undefeated when he sings! ?? Our new partnership with FOODBEAST has proved to be a hit with Dirty Gnarly’s being drunk all over the stadium with a few brave fans trying out the new Wing Roulette - you can tell pretty quickly who got the spicy one. ????? It was awesome to see Cameron Dunbar earn Pizza120 Man of the Match with a standout performance that had the crowd on their feet. These will all go on sale this Saturday at the Orange County Soccer Club home opener thanks to a unique partnership which will transform the food and drink at the Champ. OCSC is partnering with Orange County-based food media network FOODBEAST, to give our fans a different way to enjoy the game. As well as new menu items launching this week, the one-of-a-kind partnership will also feature the new Gnarly Hot Sauce, co-branded merchandise (including aprons and shot glasses), seasonal menu items, player content, collaborations with other partner food vendors like Taqueria Hoy! and Pizza 120 and even live events (food and drink based, of course).
