Talk about shifting gears! Two determined single mothers, Maria and Celina, recently received life-changing vehicle donations after being nominated through Orange County United Way’s SparkPoint OC program. These vehicle donations, made possible by the generous support of GEICO, National Auto Body Council, Crash Champions, and Fix Auto Brea, have helped Maria and Celina reduce stress and gain the freedom that reliable transportation brings. Another inspiring walk took place with Sue Parks, President & CEO of Orange County United Way, as part of our #JourneyTo100 centennial celebration! Monthly gatherings of community members are walking a collective ?? miles across all 34 cities of Orange County! ?? September’s 3-mile stroll through the city of Orange took community members through Chapman University, a farmers' market, the Hilbert Museum of California Art, Plaza Park, and other notable town landmarks. ?? As always, it was great to connect with neighbors, learn fascinating facts about each town, and see how our volunteers, sponsors, and supporters are addressing our community's most pressing needs #TheOCWay.
