Last week, on Monday, March 10, 2025, supporters played the legendary links of Rio Pinar during our ninth annual Courthouse Cup Golf Tournament. The Courthouse Cup raises vital funds for the Historical Society of Central Florida a nonprofit which supports the Orange County Regional History Center’s mission. The annual event is a four-person scramble with fun challenges along the course such as a hole played using an antique golf club, historical trivia mulligans, and the opportunity to smash your drive with an air cannon. This morning our education department staff conducted a training for History Center staff and volunteers on giving tours of the museum. The script to cover four floors of 14,000+ years of history is 23 pages long. In this picture, curator of education Kallie Turner (left) gives insight into exhibitions about Florida's environment.
