Congratulations to Servite High School senior, Brandon Bass, on recently receiving the Zug Cup Award at a First Friday Friars event on March 7 at St. John Maron Maronite Catholic Church. OCF was honored to be there to support him and present him with a college scholarship. Each year, a high school senior football player from a Catholic Trinity League school is honored with the Zug Cup Award for exemplifying faith, family, civic duty, honor and integrity. The recipient must also be committed to attending a college or secondary school in the fall. Mike Scioscia, legendary Los Angeles Dodgers catcher and former Los Angeles Angels manager, was the keynote speaker at the special sports day event. They featured their Faith, Family & Finances articles, which are published bimonthly, and were able to work alongside Monsignor James Patrick Shea, President of the University of Mary.
