For International Women's Day, I had the opportunity to host Day 1 Closing Fireside Chat with politician, leadership strategist, and ally to women Scott T. Jackson. Raised by a single working mom, Scott had virtues like resilience and work ethic instilled in him at an early age. Throughout our discussion, Scott shared powerful insights we all needed to hear — like "Don't disqualify yourself" and "Listen before you lead." And of course, because I was the interviewer, our conversation went deep! Scott shared his perspective on how transparency and vulnerability differ, and how the intersection creates the most effective leaders. We also discussed what it takes to bring people together, solve problems collaboratively, and drive win-win results as allies for both men and women.
