Connecticut amended the Sick Paid Leave law, and the first change will start soon. How or when will it affect you? Effective January 1, 2025, the law covers employees of any employer with 25 or more employees. Effective January 1, 2026, this will be expanded to include employers with 11 or more employees. Yesterday, I had the honor of walking alongside so many inspiring souls at the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Dunkin' Donuts Park. It was an emotional day, as I walked to support my amazing sister, a breast cancer warrior. Every step was a reminder of the fight she and so many others have faced and continue to face.
