On Tuesday evening, the annual Steve Jacobs Memorial talk, which also commemorated the 10th anniversary of Steve Jacobs’ passing, was given by his former student, Dr. Jessica DeGroote Nelson, Vice President - Precision Optics and Technology Development at Edmund Optics. She spoke on "Metrology Driving Manufacturing Innovation," and highlighted Steve's many contributions to optics and the Rochester community, including the development of magneto-rheological finishing and the Optics Suitcases for community outreach. Pictured are several of Steve's former students from his long career at the LLE. From the left:?Ken Marshall, Jerry Cox, Jessica DeGroote Nelson, Tanya Kosc, and Shai Shafrir
