Last week, we had the honor of welcoming Congressman Frank J. Mrvan to the Markiewicz Center! He toured Lakeside Respite and checked out our brand-new outdoor kitchen, which the Congressman helped fund through appropriations. He also explored our accessible Barbara White Treehouse. During his visit, he took time to connect with our Lakeside Respite clients and staff, learning more about the impact of inclusive spaces and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. OE launched a new program called Career Connections and participants of the program are loving it! Programming includes learning in community settings as well as at OE.
