Today, we announce a significant milestone in Oppenheimer’s storied history. Albert G. ‘Bud’ Lowenthal, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer will transition to Executive Chairman and step down as CEO of the Company. He will be succeeded by Robert Lowenthal, currently serving as President and Head of Investment Banking, who will become CEO and President, effective May 5, 2025. Bud Lowenthal has been leading Oppenheimer and its predecessors for 40 years and has spent 60 years in the financial services industry. Under Bud’s leadership, we have grown, innovated, and built a culture that values excellence, integrity, and collaboration. His vision has shaped who we are today, and we are deeply grateful to Bud for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and countless contributions to our organization. Robert Lowenthal has been a driving force at the Company for over 25 years, serving in diverse leadership roles that span revenue generation, infrastructure development, and corporate governance. He has led growth initiatives alongside business leaders, strategically aligning capital investments to drive operational efficiency, digital transformation, process improvement, and the strengthening of brand and culture. This succession represents a powerful bridge between our esteemed legacy and an ambitious future, honoring our past while actively shaping what lies ahead.
