Last week we celebrated the opening of the Island County Opportunity Council Veteran's Center! This vital hub provides crucial support to veterans facing homelessness, job challenges, and more. Through our Veterans Services programs, we assist with housing costs and connect Veterans to essential resources, including employment support and VA benefits. Thank you Christopher, Ross, Chris+the Brothers in Arms Motorcycle Club, and Greg for speaking at the celebration and sharing the importance of this new welcoming space.

Hey, LinkedIn Land, we need your help! We know that babies and little ones thrive when their caregivers are at their best and able to meet their needs. That's why one service of the Opportunity Council Quality Child Care team is to pair up families, teachers, and other early childhood professionals with licensed mental health clinicians to make sure everyone has the skills and resources they need to prevent and manage mental health challenges that can impact children's brain development. It's a vital service and one that needs just the right person with just the right skill set that children and families need.? ? So help us spread the word! Shout it from the rooftops that we're hiring an infant/early childhood mental health consultant! (Or maybe just share this post and link with your network). Most important, if you know someone who has a passion for mental health and who lights up watching children and caregivers grow, learn, and bond, send them our way! https://lnkd.in/gxUzpNHg

It means a lot to us to bring Ideal Option's important work to rural Whatcom County, where we've partnered with them to create a clinic at the East Whatcom Regional Resource Center. Love to see the partnership in the news! Be sure to check out the video from The Bellingham Herald to hear from EWRRC manager Kelly Vogel: https://lnkd.in/gYHMwrud

Can you spot all the cats in the 2nd and 5th photos? Working at Permanent Supporting Housing facilities like 22 North is hard work, but hanging out with kitties sweetens the deal! We’re so grateful to NEKO: A Cat Cafe for rewarding 22 North staff with a free private session.?
