It’s a huge responsibility Speaking for others - in addition to myself. Last week I was in D,C. Not only telling my story - but the story of so many other glaucoma patients as well. The challenges, the fears, and the small wins. It a huge responsibility to be the voice of so many and one I don’t take lightly. A path that has chosen me. A fight that is so much bigger than me. A higher purpose that drives me. The patient. Always - Start with the Patient!

Disruption of any one of these components can lead to a breakdown in this balance, resulting in the vicious cycle of DED." Incredible day on the Hill yesterday with National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (NAEVR) and Thomas V Johnson! We spoke about glaucoma from the perspective of the patient and clinician/researcher. Dr Johnson shared some of his incredible research on regrowing retinal ganglion cells. We also had the opportunity to meet with several Congressional offices to discuss the importance of continued funding for eye and vision research. Patients coupled with clinicians/researchers make magic happen. Separately we make a difference - together we create change!
