On Wednesday, February 12, Chief Advancement Officer, Roxanna Booth, spoke at an information session for the Canton Greater Together Community Fund at the Canton Library/Community Center. ??? As one of two organizations invited, Roxanna shared how the fund supported 20 households in Canton, assisting 34 individuals—including 9 children, 12 elderly, and 4 with disabilities. In just 32 days, 5,038 households applied for emergency energy assistance from Operation Fuel! While we are still processing submitted applications, this is a powerful reminder of how many Connecticut households rely on support to keep their access to power and heat. In the past, we were able to keep the program open for most of year but due to the increasing demand, funding is exhausted faster. That's why the support from our community is more important than ever—to help us reach more families in need!
