Last month, from October 10-13, Operation Smile Egypt proudly hosted their first regional PACU and Clinical Coordinator Conference in Cairo. This landmark event brought together 30 emerging #healthcare leaders from five countries, strengthening their expertise in post-anesthesia care and clinical coordination, and marking a significant step forward for #cleftcare in the MENA region. ? ? The conference featured hands-on workshops, scenario-based discussions, and simulation sessions led by our esteemed international instructors. Sessions covered critical topics such as preoperative considerations, OR flow, PACU and postoperative care, neurological complications, and airway management. Participants also engaged in simulations focused on managing malignant hyperthermia and postoperative palatal hemorrhage, equipping them with invaluable skills to enhance care for our patients born with cleft conditions and to better support their communities.? ?? We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this training possible, including our dedicated instructors, organizers, volunteers, and the Operation Smile Egypt team.
