New Year... New Reflections... New Locations!! Build meaningful relationships at our weekly gatherings where we discuss topics for study as a group. THURSDAYS @ 0715 Corner Perk Cafe, Bluffton (upstairs in the Roasting Room) SATURDAYS @ 1030 OPFOB after Coffee & Camaraderie, Ridgeland The format will be a bit different as we will spend the first 15-20 minutes in fellowship while we enjoy our coffee. We will focus on the Tim Keller Book, Forgive, along with its study guide. All materials will be provided at no charge. Open to all members of OPFOB. If you miss a week, no problem; it’s easy to catch up with your group. “The event's tribute to the men and women who defend our freedoms daily, often putting themselves in harm's way mentally and physically, was so compelling. Every aspect of the program was excellent, and the stories and tributes were beyond moving.” OPFOB had the honor of hosting our 3rd Annual Dinner for the Heroes with keynote speaker, combat-wounded Staff Sergeant (Ret.) Johnny Joey Jones. This inspirational evening was kicked off with the Sgt. Baez Honor Courage Commitment Award. We surprised one of our Vietnam veterans, Craig Ostergard, with not only this award, but having it presented to him from his Vietnam counterpart Ri Nay. Thank you Ri and Charlene for being a part of this memorable evening. We honored five of our Lowcountry World War II veterans, with three of them and their wives joining us at the dinner. This past June was the 80th anniversary of D-Day and we wanted to pay tribute to our Greatest Generation. We were even able to share an extremely rare bottle of WWII bourbon with these veterans, thanks to James Atkins. All of the proceeds from the evening go toward keeping our 268-acre recreational facility and all of our offerings 100% FREE to our local veterans, active duty military, first responders, and their families. This event is a great way for us to thank those who have served and are serving us, and honor their sacrifices on behalf of our freedom.
