I'm incredibly proud of the interviews being published for the public by Christopher Robinson, MA for Operation Allies Refuge Foundation. There is truly something for everyone to learn and take away from them. In a world where mainstream media doesn't begin to scratch the service uncovering the truth, independent and first hand accounts like these are vital. The interviews are ongoing and anyone involved in the evacuation is invited to interview with Chris. They can also remain anonymous and private if you don't wish to have your experience published for the public. E-mail [email protected] to learn more or if you're interested in scheduling an interview. https://lnkd.in/eSxyVRrM

Oral Historian | Master of Arts in History

Operation Allies Refuge Foundation Joseph Laude Aidan Gunderson It is one of my goals as the head of OAR's Historical Research and Preservation Team to collect as many first-hand accounts of the 2021 Afghanistan Withdrawal as possible. The foundation as a whole, including myself, want to give the veterans, participants, and witnesses to these events the chance to share their stories about what they went through during that insane summer. So, we are calling for any one who was involved in Operation Allies Refuge and Operation Allies Welcome to reach out and get in contact with either myself at [email protected] or our website at https://lnkd.in/g8sa6Jy8. This call does not just go out to members of the United States military or US government and non-government agencies. There were many nations involved (the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Turkey, and Azerbaijan to name a few) and we would love to have their perspectives as well. If anyone has any contacts with such individuals please refer them to the email and link above. As we enter 2024, please help us be a voice for this community, and please help us construct an honest, meaningful, and full account of what happened in Afghanistan during the summer of 2021, and its aftermath. You can only get so much from just reading about it. This was an incredible human experience that influenced nations around the world and changed millions of lives. Help us make that human connection and tell these human stories. You can find what we have so far at one of the following links: https://lnkd.in/gTeusp5R (For content written by veterans) https://lnkd.in/gRAtHaSx (Written content and audio recordings from veteran interviews)
