Opera for Android has been updated! As part of our efforts to integrate more AI-driven features for our users, we've brought image understanding to our built-in browser AI, Aria - which is now accessible with no log-in required. This update also provides our users with a selection of new wallpapers with customizable theme colors, inspired by the new Opera One R2 for Desktop, ensuring a fresh, modern, and personalized look! Opera One R2 is here! Users can now experience a new level of browsing with upgraded music and video playback, AI features, fresh tab management tools, and themes. The Video Pop Out feature lets our users enjoy content while multitasking, and the enhanced Music Player can now be detached from the sidebar for easy control. They also work together seamlessly, with music automatically pausing when a video is played! Our AI, Aria, is now usable log-in free - powered by Opera’s Composer AI engine, Aria can also generate and understand images. This update sees Split Screen browsing come to Opera, along with Tab Traces - where recently visited tabs have subtle highlights to remind users which tabs they’ve been using! We’ve also developed customizable Themes! Aria Image Understanding is now also live in Opera One for iOS! Our native browser AI Aria? from today on can? help users learn more about the surrounding environment, solve problems, learn about products and more, simply by uploading images?to Aria. This update follows our recent overhaul of our flagship browser for iPhone, which has resulted in a significant uplift of new users across Europe since its release, with new users increasing by over 66% from August to September. We're back with our AI Feature Drops: today, we’re excited to share that AI Tab Management is here! Once we invented tabs in the browser, and now we’re letting you use AI to manage them. Users can now tell Aria directly in the Command Line, or by right clicking any tab and choosing the “AI Tab Management” option, to help close, group, pin & add tabs to a bookmark. Tell Aria for example to "close all my YouTube tabs" and Aria will take care of it while keeping your browsing data safe. When asking Aria to organize the tabs, the only thing that will be processed by the AI is the prompt provided by the user. This means that all tab-related data gets processed locally on the user’s computer, ensuring the privacy and security are maintained. This means that we are taking AI out of the usual chatbox, enabling it to start performing browser tasks. This feature is ready to test in the developer version of Opera One. Aria, our browser AI, is now available on desktop without log-in! Users are now able to start using Aria from the sidebar or by using Ctrl+/ (Cmd+/ on Mac) just by accepting the T&Cs once. If they hit the limit, users can still create a free Opera Account to continue leveraging the power of our browser AI for generating images, texts, explanations, summaries and even translations. The limit you may encounter is on image generation, which has been capped to 5 images.
