The concept is simple: it understands written instructions in natural language and processes them to complete tasks in the browser - tasks which users might find just too boring or complex. Currently demoed as a feature preview, Browser Operator is designed to give our users superpowers while keeping their browsing secure and private. Whether it’s asking the ask Browser Operator to buy groceries, get that pair of socks or book a dream vacation. The best part? It’s possible to interfere and take action at any point. Why is this special? Because we find ourselves at a crossroads where browsing and AI can finally meet in a meaningful way. We’re taking the technology that’s already inside the browser to make it work hand in hand with AI to understand the web and get stuff done. We’re very excited to announce the launch of our brand new browser, Opera Air: the first browser built with mindfulness at its core. With integrated mindfulness tools such as breathing exercises, binaural beats, and positive quotes, we are redefining the role of the browser. Opera Air is not simply a utility tool, but rather helps users manage stress, enhance focus, and maintain emotional clarity throughout their day. Users also get to enjoy a minimalist Scandinavian design and frosted glass UI, which adapts its colors to the background of the website they are on. Alongside our flagship Opera features including a free, no-log VPN, ad- and tracker blocker as well as Aria, our native browser AI, Opera Air features two unique features: “Take a Break” and “Boosts”. “Take a Break” guides users through mindfulness exercises including breathing exercises, meditation, as well as full body scans - each from 3 to 15 minutes. “Boosts” allow users to listen to binaural beats, with multiple frequencies available to choose from to help promote relaxation, focus, or a meditative state. The available “Boosts” include Creativity Boost, Energized Focus, Deep Relaxation and many more. Background music or sounds of nature can also be added to these boosts - which can last anywhere from 15 minutes to indefinitely. Opera Air is shipping today to the early adopter community. We are excited to announce that Opera for Android with built-in VPN is among the first apps ever to earn Google Play’s new Independent Security Review badge! ?? Reaffirming our commitment to security and privacy, this badge indicates that apps that include VPN functionality have successfully completed a Mobile Application Security Assessment (MASA) Level 2 (meaning an independent security reviewer tested the app and confirmed that Opera for Android adheres to Google Play’s safety and security guidelines!) The built-in VPN has already received an independent audit for its security by Cure53, a respected cybersecurity firm based in Germany, in combination with the recent no-log policy audit of our built-in VPN by trusted independent auditor Deloitte. This time, we explored conducting research and how to navigate through the scientific world of papers, conferences and journals, learning new concepts and coming up with original ideas. We’ve updated Opera One for iOS! It now features log-in free access to Aria, and the ability to add an Opera Home Screen Widget! ?? This update completes the rollout of account-free access to our browser AI, Aria, across all major platforms, including Desktop and Android. Opera for iOS has continued to see significant platform growth, with Aria’s integration playing a key role in enhancing the user experience. With the removal of the sign-in requirement, iOS users can now seamlessly access Aria’s advanced features directly from their iPhones without interrupting their browsing flow. The new Opera Home Screen Widget allows users to create shortcuts directly on their iOS home screen. With a long press of the Opera icon, users can personalize their Opera widget to include: Quick access to search, Shortcuts to Ask Aria, Options to open a new tab or go into Private Mode. In addition to widgets, long-pressing and holding the Opera icon now displays a menu with additional options such as: Send Feedback and Set up Face ID for added security.
