I’ve been in the cleaning industry for years and I’ve finally seen it done right. A local school district, elementary school (Carpentersville, IL) has it right. Liberty Elementary School with Community Unit School District 300 I was there for a football & soccer game for my kids and saw how simple it is to show equality among employees. Usually I see teachers, maintenance, food service staff, and office staff have dedicated spots but no custodial staff. At this school I see multiple custodian parking spots, at an elementary school level. I love this. Well done Community Unit School District 300. I feel proud that some in the industry have made this step, I feel ashamed that I didn’t push for this type of recognition in the schools I worked in as a custodial manager. #janitoriallife #cleaningindustry
