Elon Musk’s AI wasn’t allowed to say that Elon and Trump spread misinformation. When this came to light, they blamed it on a new employee (do they really think anyone will buy that? And even if they did, really does a new employee have that much power?) But sure, great idea to trust and use the Twitter “truth-seeking” algorithm ??

This is exactly why Openvibe is committed to open social projects with strong, long-term communities—not short lived hype cycles. Back in the day, we were asked about integrating FriendTech into Openvibe—mostly by potential investors who didn’t fully grasp our mission. Fast forward to today: FriendTech has 50 daily users. Czech startup Openvibe, which developed an app connecting Mastodon, Bluesky, Nostr, and Threads, has raised $800K. The round included Czech Founders VC, Tensor Ventures, Jan ?iroky, and Automattic. "We are currently witnessing an extremely dynamic development in social networking. TikTok is facing existential difficulties in the United States; there has been a significant outflow of users following Elon Musk's purchase of X (formerly Twitter), politicians are increasing pressure on social platforms, and educated or young people are increasingly moving to alternative networks." explains Matej Svancer, founder and CEO of Openvibe.
