?? From Sales Ops Intern to a Summer of Growth & Learning! ?? Looking back at Summer 2022, I can confidently say it was one of the most transformative experiences of my career journey. As a Sales Operations Intern at OpenSesame, I had the opportunity to dive into e-commerce purchasing processes, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration—all in a fully remote setting. But what truly made the experience special were the people who guided and supported me along the way. A huge shoutout to Tara Ramachandran, my manager, whose mentorship and guidance made all the difference. Her willingness to share knowledge, provide meaningful feedback, and create a space for open conversations helped me grow immensely. I learned not just about sales operations but also about leadership, adaptability, and the importance of asking the right questions. I also want to express my appreciation for Tyler Reveille, my mentor, who took the time to connect with me weekly and offer invaluable career insights. Those conversations helped me think critically about my professional growth and the kind of impact I want to make in my career. Beyond the work itself, what truly set this internship apart was the enriching environment it provided: ? Coffee Chats – Connecting with professionals across teams gave me insight into different career paths and perspectives. ?? Intern Gatherings – Building relationships with fellow interns made the experience even more rewarding. ???? Mentorship Program – Having dedicated time with a mentor like Tyler helped me reflect on my goals. ?? DEI Discussions & Volunteering – Engaging in meaningful conversations and giving back to the community reinforced the importance of a strong workplace culture. Some key lessons that stuck with me: ?? Data Tells a Story – I learned how to analyze sales data beyond just numbers, understanding the trends and insights that drive business decisions. ?? Collaboration is Everything – Working across departments taught me that strong communication and alignment are key to solving challenges effectively. ?? Mentorship Matters – Learning from experienced professionals helped me gain clarity and confidence in my career direction. I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and the people who helped shape it.
