    How many times have you heard (or silently screamed to yourself) “We have a data problem!” We sat down with Jared Barol, VP of GTM Strategy at Copy.ai to talk about the “big, bad data monster” haunting SaaS companies across the valley and how his critical path framework can help. Your “data problem” might not be what you think. The real issue is often misalignment across teams, not the data itself. Think about it: ?? Sales blames marketing for bad leads ???? Marketing points to attribution gaps ?? Finance struggles with forecasting But what’s really happening? A lack of alignment. When teams aren’t on the same page, they’re applying quick fixes to symptoms, not solving the root cause. So, what should you do? ??Diagnose the real issue. Is it really a data problem, or are broken processes to blame? ??Use a structured framework to categorize the problem: People, Processes, Systems/Tech, and Data. ??Start small. Tackle the easiest fix first, then scale up. Data is important, but aligning your teams, processes, and tech is what truly drives results. So before you blame the data, ask: What’s the real problem here? What’s been the biggest “data problem” you’ve had to deal with? Let’s talk about it.
