Cape Cod, Rhode Island, Southeastern MA Would You Pay Thousands for Slow, Inconsistent Internet? You Might Be Already. Slow, inconsistent internet isn’t just frustrating—it’s costly. If an employee making $50,000 per year ($25 per hour) loses just 30 minutes a day to slow or unreliable internet, it’s costing your business around $3,125 per year—per employee. Multiply that by the number of employees on your team, and the financial losses quickly exceed the cost of a reliable connection. With OpenCape’s fiber network, you get 99.999% uptime and fast, consistent speeds—because every minute of downtime is money lost. Call 508-262-2224 today to upgrade to a better, more reliable connection. #CapeCod #RhodeIsland #SoutheasternMA #FiberInternet #OpenCape #Productivity

Yesterday, OpenCape’s Tim Hinkel and Steven Johnston spent the day connecting with businesses along Main St. in Hyannis, introducing them to OpenCape’s reliable fiber internet. We had great conversations, made new connections, and capped off the day with some excellent pizza at Palio Pizzeria — one of our valued clients. It’s always rewarding to engage with the local business community and support those who make Hyannis thrive! #HyannisMA #LocalBusiness #FiberInternet #OpenCape #CapeCod

Massachusetts “Cobbling Together” An Economic Infrastructure Massachusetts has always been a hub of innovation and commerce, from the early shipyards of Boston to the bustling mills of Lowell. Many of our cities still carry the charm and character of quaint, tight, cobblestone streets, the very roads that once powered the Commonwealth’s economy. Today, these same historic streets remain the beating heart of our downtown business districts—but they were never designed for modern infrastructure like fiber optic networks in cities like New Bedford. Unlike newer developments, these areas weren’t built for trenching conduits or lining streets with utility poles, creating significant barriers to broadband expansion in some of our most vital economic centers. That’s why H.3478, An Act to Streamline Broadband Permitting and Ensure Equitable Access to Infrastructure, presented by Representative Kip Diggs, is critical to unlocking economic growth and modernizing Massachusetts while respecting its history. This bill removes outdated barriers, ensuring our communities have the digital infrastructure they need to compete, grow, and thrive. ?????? ???? ??????????????: ?? Economic Development: High-speed internet attracts businesses, supports startups, and drives tourism. ?? Technology & Innovation: Fiber networks fuel research, healthcare, and public safety advancements. ?? Regional Stability: Infrastructure gaps hold back progress—this bill streamlines expansion and levels the playing field. ?? Future-Proofing Massachusetts: Data is the new currency, and we need modern networks to remain competitive. Now is the time to act. This small, enabling legislation paves the way for bigger opportunities, stronger businesses, and a thriving Commonwealth—while preserving the history and charm that make Massachusetts unique. ???????? ?????? ????????: H.3478 https://lnkd.in/eP54eXVy Please take immediate steps locally to support this bill: Mark Sylvia Jon Mitchell New Bedford Economic Development Council Anthony Sapienza State Representative Carole Fiola New Bedford Ocean Cluster New Bedford Whaling Museum Let’s honor our past while building our future—together. #BroadbandForAll #MAProgress #Massachusetts #EconomicGrowth #Innovation
