Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has been studied in over 300 active and completed clinical trials, including some investigating chronic fatigue syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, and autism, among other conditions. The influence of FMT on the gut microbiota is being looked at to restore microbial balance and improve symptoms.
