An early version of canvas is now available to ChatGPT Enterprise & Edu customers. Canvas is a new interface for collaborating with ChatGPT on writing and code. Get in-line feedback from ChatGPT, edit directly, and use shortcuts to make changes across the entire canvas in just one click—giving you more control over the final product.

We’re rolling out an early version of canvas—a new way to work with ChatGPT on writing & coding projects that go beyond simple chat. Starting today, Plus & Team users can try it by selecting “GPT-4o with canvas” in the model picker. Canvas will be available to Enterprise & Edu users next week.

Yesterday at DevDay in San Francisco, we introduced several new products for developers aimed at multimodality, cost savings, model customization, and scaling apps including: Realtime API Prompt Caching Vision to the Fine-Tuning API Model Distillation Up next, DevDay in London and Singapore.

Advanced Voice is rolling out to all Plus and Team users in the ChatGPT app over the course of the week. While you’ve been patiently waiting, we’ve added Custom Instructions, Memory, five new voices, and improved accents. It can also say “Sorry I’m late” in over 50 languages.

We’re launching the OpenAI Academy, a new initiative to invest in developers and organizations leveraging AI to solve hard problems and drive economic growth in their communities.

OpenAI o1-preview and o1-mini are now available to all ChatGPT Enterprise and ChatGPT Edu customers. Because the o1 series can reason through complex problems, it can be especially useful in fields like consulting, engineering, math, science, manufacturing, and logistics. It also excels at problem-solving in areas like research, strategy, coding, course development, and tutoring.
