Appreciated sharing with Community Impact my thoughts on how the upcoming vote on affordable childcare will benefit everyone in Travis County. Take a look! “It’s a workforce issue, an economic development issue, a supporting your community issue,” Gurak said. “A rising tide lifts all boats.”

Travis County - did you know that childcare will be on your ballot in November?
Yesterday, the Travis County Commissioners Court placed affordable child care on the November ballot. The Travis County CARES Initiative will make high-quality, affordable child and afterschool care available to thousands of low-income families in our community if approved by voters this fall. Every penny we invest in child care today will lead to better outcomes and brighter futures for our kids and our economy tomorrow.
