Today is the 5th anniversary of my first talk at ODSC Europe, way back in 2019, in London. The topic was PyTorch 101 and the room was crowded with people! It was an exciting experience and I was happy to learn that the attendees enjoyed my talk so much that I got invited as a speaker once again in 2020 :-) This year marks the 6th edition of ODSC Europe that I had the pleasure to be a speaker. Designing effective AI models isn’t just about bigger models or more parameters — it’s about having the?right data. The process of data wrangling, curation, and thoughtful dataset design is increasingly proving to be one of the most impactful ways to enhance the performance and specialization of application-focused models. This insight was the focus of our talk at?Open Data Science Conference (ODSC) West?conference this year, where Terry Rodriguez and I explored?how to design datasets that drive better results for your use case.
