Christina Darbonne is being ACKNOWLEDGED as the spotlight employee for March 2025. We would like to INTRODUCE Christina, who has been a member of our OGHS family for the DURATION of 11 years. Christina is a Coder Level II ER and Observation, in the Health Information Management department. Christina’s EXPLANATION of her various duties: Christina is responsible for all outpatient coding in the Laboratory, Radiology, Medical Home, OP Psych, Physical/Speech/Occupational Therapy, Radiation Therapy and Sleep Diagnostics. She is also cross trained to code ED visits as well. Christina says the medical coding process involves putting accurate ICD 10 Codes to each diagnosis the patient has for the services rendered and to make sure the diagnosis is justifiable for the service charged and performed. What Christina likes about working at OGHS: Christina has always liked working at OGHS. From learning new skills, to building personal relationships with coworkers, it has always been amazing. Most importantly, she likes the family-oriented atmosphere of the whole hospital and the way OGHS supports all families. What Christina would like everyone to know about her: Christina would like everyone to know that she is a dedicated worker. She strives to be productive every day to accomplish as many tasks as she can. She is also a wife of 30 years with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Christina enjoys crafting, and she is a volunteer at her church and in her community. What Christina is most thankful for: Christina is most thankful for all the blessings that she has received from God. She is also thankful for her family and her career.
