  • **Introducing Breanna Wahnetah - Our Activities Director! ??** Breanna is a passionate Activities Director with a high school diploma from LCHS and two years of caregiving experience. Although she is new to this position, her enthusiasm for enriching the lives of elders is truly inspiring. Breanna believes that we have much to learn from our elders, and she finds immense personal growth and fulfillment in helping them. She enjoys creating engaging activities that enhance their daily lives and bring joy to their journey. In her free time, Breanna loves reading, writing, playing disc golf, juggling, and spending quality time with her adorable dog, Uculi—a chihuahua/wiener dog named after the Washo word for "chipmunk." A fun fact about Breanna is that she was born with an underdeveloped voice box and could only growl, earning her the nickname “Tiva,” meaning wolf in the Paiute language. Proud of her heritage, she is Washo and Paiute from her mother’s side and Cherokee Eastern Band from her father’s side. Breanna’s favorite snack is barbecue chips, a love she shares with her mom, and she enjoys chips in general (as long as they’re not spicy!) since she is a type 1 diabetic. Breanna is thrilled to be in her role and feels it was meant for her. One of her favorite moments so far was booking a presentation of dancers for the elders, which brought smiles and joy to their lives. She is dedicated to planning more activities that brighten this special chapter in their journey. When it’s time to unwind, Breanna loves to sing and enjoys karaoke, along with spending time with her family and pets. We’re excited to see the wonderful experiences she will create for our residents! ??

  • **Courtney Perry (Peterson)** **OPCO Director of Social Services** Courtney Perry (Peterson) brings a heartfelt passion for long-term care social services, a journey inspired by her personal experiences caring for her grandmother in her final months. Understanding the fears many residents face when entering nursing homes, Courtney has dedicated her career to advocating for their well-being, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and heard. A proud graduate of Tarleton State University in 2013, Courtney began her professional journey just a month before graduation at Downtown Health and Rehab. There, she spent five impactful years serving residents and their families. Her dedication and commitment led her to follow her administrator to Trail Lake Nursing and Rehab, where she continued to grow her expertise before joining College Park Rehab in Weatherford, the community she calls home. Over seven years at College Park, Courtney honed her skills in long-term care social work, making a significant difference in the lives of those she served. When her former administrator transitioned to a Regional Director of Operations role at OPCO, he recognized Courtney's potential and encouraged her to apply for an open Regional Social Work position. Seeing this as a chance to support fellow social workers, Courtney embraced the opportunity to provide training and mentorship. Her mission is clear: to equip every social worker with the resources, knowledge, and guidance they need to excel and deliver the highest quality care to residents. With years of hands-on experience and an unwavering commitment to advocacy, Courtney is dedicated to strengthening the social work team and making a lasting impact in the realm of long-term care. Her journey is a testament to the power of compassion and the profound difference one individual can make in the lives of others.
