The best lessons don't come from textbooks. In my case, they come from having 37 browser tabs open during lectures, scrolling through countless pages of fashion sites, and building Pinterest boards. One day I'd browse Pinterest for 'red grey outfits,' the next I'd scavenge Depop for 'Y2K prom dress.' Occasionally someone seeing my frantic scrolling would laugh and wonder what I was doing. But little did they know, I was onto something even then.
I've always been aspirational about shopping, and while it might have seemed like a silly distraction, I was actually honing valuable skills. I became really good at searching for the best deals, identifying trends, and discovering products that were hard to find elsewhere.
Fast forward to today, that passion has turned into a career! I'm thrilled to share that I've joined Onton as part of their Growth team. What draws me to Onton is their vision for the future of shopping engines—personalized, tailored recommendations without all the SEO gimmicks or intrusive ads.
