@followers January 14th marked a big day for us! We celebrated 10 years in business as On the FLY Productions! Although our creative partnership began with our first show together, BEAUTIFUL, in 2011, creating our baby - On the FLY - has been our Magnum Opus! So what does 10 years mean to us? An anniversary is a time for gratitude, reflection, soul searching and goal setting. First and foremost - we have so much to be grateful for! We’ve grown leaps and bounds since officially forming as a company ten years ago, and it’s been entirely because of all of our incredible clients, mentors and team members across the globe that have helped us to find, articulate, and actualize our vision. In ten years we’ve created Cirque du Beautiful, made it to the quarter finals of America's Got Talent as Mothmen Dance, Runner Ups on TruTV’sFake Off, featured on Fox’s Game of Talents and NBC’s Little Big Shots, created the flying effects on 3 Broadway shows - Moulin Rouge The Musical - Broadway, The SpongeBob Musical, and King Kong Broadway, worked on national commercials, have created and/or maintained the aerial and flying effects on over 15 shows on cruise ships around the globe, rigged and flown thousands of flying effects in hundreds of theaters, built a local pre-professional program that works with over 400 students a year, our original show “Lovin Vegas” has been performing for thousands weekly on Carnival Cruise Line Entertainment’s in Mardi Gras for over two years, and just this past summer performed at the MGM Grand in Vegas! Personally, in ten years we’ve also moved 5 times, gotten married (to each other ??), given birth to one baby, graduated 3 from high school, 1 from college, attended numerous recitals, sporting events, shows, State and National competitions! When we first launched On the FLY Productions over 10 years ago, we didn’t have a clear picture of how we would create a sustainable business model that not only met the needs of our clients, our community, and our team, but also fed our family. We had 5 kids between us and nothing but a dream to work in the entertainment industry, share our love of flying and theater and create quality work. Vulnerable Fun Fact - imposter syndrome is a thing and you never feel prepared enough! But when we “got the call” and started @ontheflypros we made a promise to lift each other up every time the other felt overwhelmed or scared, to be a solid partnership, to build a “family” - not a “business” - that felt authentic, kind, and supportive, to chase the dreams that scared us, that “done was better than perfect” (trust me - THIS is a paralyzing problem for us artists!!), and to pursue life with a “YES AND” Attitude!
