In case you're looking for a talented OSS dev: Mostafa Forouji is your guy
I wanted to make a special shout-out to one of our most impactful contributors, Mostafa Forouji – While he was refactoring the entire Onlook codebase to make it more robust, he noticed we didn't have a light mode for our users. Without even asking, he went and replaced all of our design tokens and implemented a dark / light mode toggle. And the result was incredible – Normally we'd have to comb through and do a thorough review of all of the variables to make sure that they were on-brand, but his suggestions (whether he did intentionally or not) made me rethink how we can bring a light brand into our product. When I asked why he did it, he said it was because he felt like designers would want a way to design in light mode and it was as simple as that. It's this kind of user empathy that continues to impress me from our developer community. If you're looking for a great engineer, reach out to him: https://lnkd.in/eya5MydP As for his implementation? It was pretty close to what I had originally designed:
