The more you understand where your newsletter is situated within the #Substack landscape, the more potential there is for growth. If only because you have the opportunity to Subscribe to other writers who write in your niche or even collaborate with them. But more than that, the more narrow your focus, the more space you have to explore in your newsletter. Read more in our interview with Paulina Pinsky (linked in the comments below).

We’re Living in the Newsletter Era It's 2024, so we're not just living in the Age of Substack but the Newsletter Era in general. Newsletters are providing writers with an owned media channel, and for some, it brings in extra money, perhaps a living wage, or even life-changing exits. You can use your newsletter to not only help brand yourself as an author but also develop a body of work around a specific topic. It can be hard to find a full-time job as a beat reporter on a topic you have a lot of interest in but limited bylines. But on Substack, you can carve out your beat without permission from anyone else. Read the full pep via link in the comments.

Why settle for just fine in your writing?
Creating a home for writers to find their voice at WritingWorkshops.com ?? Writer, Mentor, Founder ??Follow #WritingWorkshops
Linear, traditional narrative is fine, but why settle for fine... Why not write stories that reflect our fractured, shattered, post-narrative world? Stories that don’t travel in a straight line - they circle, they digress, they skip ahead, they doubt themselves and disappear, the show up six months later and swear the whole thing was a fever dream. Join Amber Sparks for her Fractured Narrative Zoom Seminar: Shattering Traditional Story Structure to Create New Stories this Saturday, April 6th. https://lnkd.in/gPAjJpP5
