MHP got an inside look at the Deep Energy Retrofit (DER) underway at Allston Brighton CDC's Hano Homes property. The DER will fully decarbonize the buildings through a new high-performance envelope incorporating carbon storing materials, full electrification of heating, cooling, fresh air, and domestic hot water systems, and on-site solar PV, among other upgrades. $2.75 million in permanent financing for the project has been provided by MHP to preserve the 20 units of affordable housing in the Allston neighborhood of Boston. This Wednesday, the Project Team will be hosting an in-depth, hands-on site visit to catch up on the project’s progress. This “Look and Learn” walkthrough will give stakeholders, funders, local leaders and supporters an in-person opportunity to better understand the benefits and values of decarbonization through deep energy retrofits.?
