Our high school students are determined to do this -- for themselves and for others -- as they build skill in language and leadership and the strength to connect with people of many cultures. They are becoming the leaders the world needs. Ednauh, an OWN Alum, recently told us: “Because of OWN, I got to meet a U.S. Ambassador in ninth grade and was told ‘You could do this too.’ My mind was blown. I had no idea that everyday folk like me could work in places like that or dream that big.” Tuition and fees meet only 11% of our actual program costs. The rest is met by folk who come alongside on this journey to build a better world with students of all incomes.
