The spring conference season has officially kicked off! ?? We recently attended both #IPTC?in Kuala Lumpur?and?#EGYPES?in Cairo. Different, yet equally dynamic cities that share the challenges we face across the globe: How can we deliver secure?and affordable energy while rapidly reducing emissions? At?EGYPES, we were proud to welcome Karim Badawi, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum?and?Mineral Resources, to the SLB booth, where SLB?and?OneSubsea jointly showcased our groundbreaking technologies?and?collaborative spirit.?And, we signed a collaboration agreement, along with SLB?and?our Subsea Integration Alliance partner Subsea7, with ENPPI to work on offshore renewables?and?new energies. ?? Our team presented?subsea separation, simplified tiebacks,?and?the benefits of all-electric subsea technology, as well as local energy generation?and?the role of artificial intelligence (AI). In addition, we unveiled our new OneSubsea interactive display, sparking many passionate discussions! ?? Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur, Hongkun Dong, our regional Sales & Commercial Director, participated in an executive panel that explored how to make seemingly impossible field developments economically feasible. Key takeaways were that simplification—from the procurement process to product development—could play an important role?and?that collaboration between operators?and?technology providers is essential. Today’s field developments are increasingly more complex, requiring a whole new level of innovation?and?collaboration,?and?it’s getting harder?and?harder for any one organization to go it alone. In that spirit, we also signed a development strategic partnership with PETRONAS, SLB, Noble Corporation, Halliburton,?and?TechnipFMC during?IPTC?to work toward developing deepwater fields. Collaborative working models are a new way forward in the Asia Pacific region! Before we go, we’d like to recognize our awesome OneSubsea teams who made these events a success. The 2025 theme, ‘Accelerate Action,’ is an important reminder that real progress happens when we create real opportunities that result in real-life role models—especially in STEM, where representation matters more than ever. At OneSubsea, we know that when women thrive in engineering, whole industries propel forward. Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the privilege of sharing stories from some of the incredible women on our team—their journeys, their expertise, and the impact they’re making every day.
